Steve Bateman

Managing Chair

Steve brings over 25 years of business experience to his position as a C12 Area Chair for the Pennsylvania Capital Region. Steve had the opportunity to learn business from the ground up, starting his career in manufacturing at the entry level. Upon completion of his engineering degree, Steve’s experience progressed into engineering and operation leadership roles at companies such as TE Connectivity (formerly Tyco), Thomas & Betts, and FCI Electronics. During Steve’s career, he gained a reputation for applying his knowledge of project management, lean principles, quality systems, and team development with the ability to integrate the technical and human elements needed to ensure success. In spite of a promising professional career, Steve answered the call to pursue vocational ministry in 2003.

After graduating from seminary, Steve accepted a leadership role with the largest provider of workplace chaplain services. His experience in workplace chaplaincy allowed Steve to become a trusted advisor to business owners and CEOs who valued his understanding of challenges in both business and life, along with his practical approach in applying biblical principles to overcome those challenges. Nearly 10 years after beginning his service in the workplace mission field, Steve answered another call to the next level of workplace ministry through C12. As a C12 Chair, he is committed to encouraging and equipping business leaders to achieve their desire to glorify God in their life and work.

Steve and his wife Kim have been married for over 35 years and make their home in Harrisburg, PA. They have been blessed with two children and four grandchildren. Steve is an ordained minister, with a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology and a Master’s degree in Biblical Studies.

Our Members Say It Best

C12 is the largest and fastest growing Peer Advisory Group experience in the United States. Why?  The C12 Group is not a business Bible study. It's not a professional networking group or a guest speaker forum. It's a movement of Christian business leaders truly changing the world in and through the marketplace.
